Instead, we have integrated Zoom with Learnyst. So, you can conduct LIVE classes on Learnyst without any additional configuration or Zoom license.
Alternatively, you can also embed any other third-party LIVE apps on Learnyst.

Please follow these settings to ensure OBS works seamlessly with Learnyst Live.
Below are the key points you need to be aware of:

Set your OBS base resolution to 1280x720 & video output resolution to 852X480 (if you have a higher upload speed, increase the resolution)

Your internet upload speed must be >2MBPS to do seamless live streaming. (check your speed here)

For live streaming:

With Web-cam: Use 30 FPS & resolution: 1280x720 & internet speed >5mbps

With screen-share: Use 5FPS & resolution: 960x540 & internet speed>2mbps

Settings to setup OBS with Learnyst Live: Read
To set up OBS seamlessly with Leanyst Live, we recommend you to do the below changes in the settings menu. Click settings & open it.

General Tab:
No changes. Leave default

Stream Tab:
Copy the learnyst server & stream keys from the admin dashboard when you start your live classes.

Output Tab

Change Output mode to advanced

In Streaming Tab select encoder. Encoders are different for Windows and Mac PC. If a hardware encoder is available, select hardware encoder(NVENC/H264 encoder for windows and Apple VT H264 hardware encoder for mac).

Else select x264 encoder
Change Output mode to advanced

Change bitrate to 1500 kbps. If you select a higher resolution then you can increase this. But make sure that you have the very good upload bandwidth

Change keyframe interval to 2

Select use B-frames

For Windows Hardware encoder below are the settings:

Pro tip:
Set your video bitrate to 1500kbps only if your internet upload speed is >2MBPS
The general rule is your video bitrate must be <your internet upload speed
You can check your internet speed at fast.com
For the x264 encoder below are the settings

Set tune to “zerolatency”

Set sample rate to 44.1 kHZ. Other settings leave default

Set Output Resolution to 852x480. If you increase resolution you need to increase bandwidth and also make sure that you have very good upload bandwidth

Set downscale filter to Bicubic

Change FPS as below.

FPS=5 or 10 : For Live classes which are done using screen sharing 5-10 FPS is enough. This will have smooth streaming for students also and also the bandwidth requirements will be less.

FPS=24 : For Live classes which are done using webcam or using external camera. If FPS is increased we need to set the bandwidth accordingly and also make sure that you have very good upload bandwidth speed.

Note-1: For FPS 24/30 and resolution of 1280*720, 5-7 Mbps upload bandwidth is required
