The new custom fields help you to capture your student desires, find patterns and help market your courses to your students.
You can now create custom fields and use them while importing your learners in bulk.
In this article, let us see how to use custom fields while importing learners using the Custom template excel sheet.
Login into Learnyst and go to Users>Learners
Now, click on the Import button on the top navbar
In the pop-up window, select the custom field template
You will get an email alert from the system. Go ahead and check your inbox
In your inbox, you will receive the template with the below subject line. Click download to get the template.
Click on open to use the file.
You will be able to see the custom fields in your excel sheet.
You can go ahead and fill in these custom fields.
For e.g: for my engineering course, I have created custom fields called student goals to know what my students want.
I have also created a subject stream to know which stream of engineering most of my students belong to. You can go ahead and create your own custom fields.
Once you have created your custom fields, upload the same in your learner's tab. Go to the learner's tab and click on upload.
Now, click on Upload to import the selected excel file. And click on import.
After you import, you will get the Learner import message.
To check if the file has been uploaded successfully, head over to your admin dashboard and click on the Users section and click on Learners.
You can see the success stats within the imports screen as shown in the screenshot.
Once the learner list is updated, we will send you a mail detailing all the learners who have been successfully added to the course.
Note: The user id and password of the learner will be his/her email id and 'password' by default. They can change it later by signing in to their account.
Note: Use the marketing section to send emails to your students. Send up to 2000 emails per day.
