The new custom fields help you to capture your student desires, find patterns and help market your courses to your students.
You can now create custom fields and use them while importing your learners in bulk.
In this article, let us see how to use custom fields while importing learners using the Custom template excel sheet.

Firstly, go to your admin dashboard and click on Users>Custom fields

Now, here you can create your custom fields. After creating it, click on Enable and press the save changes button.

Now, go back to your admin dashboard and go to Users>Learners

Now, click on the Import button on the top navbar

Select the Import learners to products option and click on Next

To import custom details of your learners select the Import with the custom fields option and click on the Generate template with custom fields excel sheet.

You will get an email alert from the system. You will receive the template with the below subject line in your email. Click download to get the template.

Click on open to use the file.

You will be able to see the custom fields in your excel sheet.

You can go ahead and fill in these custom fields.
For e.g: for my engineering course, I have created custom fields called student goals to know what my students want.

Now, click on Upload to import the selected excel file. And click on import.

After you import, you will get the Learner import message.

To check if the file has been uploaded successfully, head over to your admin dashboard and click on the Users section and click on Learners.

You can see the success stats within the imports screen as shown in the screenshot.

Once the learner list is updated, we will send you a mail detailing all the learners who have been successfully added to the course.
Note: The user id and password of the learner will be his/her email id and 'password' by default. They can change it later by signing in to their account.
