Learnyst Courses Overview

A course in Learnyst is a structured learning program designed to help you deliver your knowledge in a clear, organized, and engaging way. It allows you to guide your learners step-by-step through a topic using a mix of content formats, making the learning experience more effective and easy to follow.

Courses in Learnyst are built using a simple and logical hierarchy:

  • Sections – These represent broad topics or modules within your course
  • Lessons – These are individual units within each section, where the actual teaching happens

This structure helps you break down complex topics into smaller, manageable parts, ensuring a smooth learning journey for your students.

Types of Content You Can Include

Each course can include a variety of learning materials to suit different teaching styles:

  • Videos – Pre-recorded lectures or demonstrations
  • Audios – Voice-based explanations or lessons
  • PDFs – Notes, documents, or study materials
  • Slides – Presentation-style content
  • Articles – Text-based lessons and detailed explanations
  • SCORM – Interactive and standards-based learning modules
  • Quizzes & Tests – Assessments to evaluate learner understanding
  • Assignments – Practice tasks with submission options
  • Live Classes – Real-time interactive sessions

Create a Course

  • Go to the Products > Courses
  • Click the "Create" button 
  • Enter the course title and price 
  • Then select the Content Security option.
  • Click the Create button. 
  • Click the Add Section button and enter the section title
  • Click the save button.

Add a lesson to the course

  • Go to the Products > Courses
  • Click the Add Lesson button. 
  • Now, enter the lesson title, select any lesson type, and click the Continue button.
  • Upload a lesson file from your computer or a Cloud storage provider, such as Dropbox or Drive.
  • You can attach files to the lesson to engage your learners. 
  • Once you've attached the files, simply click the Preview option to examine your lessons. 
  • Finally, your lessons and attachments are available to your students.

Edit a Course 

  • Go to Products > Courses > Select the Desired Course.
  • Click the "Settings" button.
  • Now you will land on the "Settings" page. On this settings page, click on "Branding.” 
  • On this page, you can edit the important details like title, description, thumbnail image, and video for your course.

Publish the pricing plan

  • Navigate to Course Settings
  • Select the pricing plans option.
  • Go to the Draft tab and click on pricing plan.
  • Choose the Publish status option from the left-side menu bar. 
  • Select the Published option and click the Save button.

Publish the Course

  • Return to the Settings page
  • Select the Publish Course option. 
  • Now, select the Live option and click the Save button.
  • Your course is now visible to your learners, along with a price plan.

Delete the course

  • Return to the Settings page
  • Choose the Delete Course option.
  • Enter the course name correctly 
  • Click the Delete button.
  • On the confirmation pop-up, click the Delete Course button.

  1. Once deleted, this action cannot be reversed.
  2. After the course is deleted, current learners will no longer be able to access it.
  3. Courses can only be deleted if they are in unpublished status.
  4. A course can only be removed if it contains no sections.\
  5. If the course is not associated with any other product, like bundles or batches, you can't delete the course.
