How to Manage Course Permissions

Configure your course selling, enrollment, access, platform availability, and offline access settings from the Permissions section.

    Access Course Permissions

    To manage the permissions for a course:

    1. Go to Products > Courses.
    2. Select the required course.
    3. Click Settings.
    4. Select Permissions.

    You can configure the following settings:

    Sell Independently

    The Sell Independently option allows you to sell the course separately from a bundle.

    • Enabled: Learners can purchase the course independently.
    • Disabled: The course cannot be purchased separately and can be made available through a bundle.

    Default Course Enrollment

    The Enroll On Signup option automatically enrolls learners in the course when they sign up.

    • Enable Enroll On Signup to automatically enroll new learners in the course after signup.
    • This option is available only for Public Courses.
    • For paid courses, learners are enrolled as trial learners when they sign up.
    • Trial learners can access only the trial lessons available in the course. They will not have access to the remaining paid course content unless they purchase the course.

    Course Access Type

    The Course Access Type determines how learners can access your course.

    Public Course

    • The Public course is available to all learners.
    • Public courses are listed on the LMS/store by default once they are published and sell independently enabled.
    • Learners can view the course and enroll/purchase it based on the pricing and enrollment configuration.

    Private Course

    • The course is restricted to specifically invited learners.
    • It is not generally available to all learners.

     

    Note: If a learner directly opens the link of a private course, they may see a Private Course – Contact Admin message. In this case, ask the learner to log in to their account and access the course through My Enrollments.

    Unlisted Course

    • The course is removed from the product listings, including bundles.
    • Learners can still access the course through a direct link.

     

    Course Selling Platform

    The Course Selling Platform setting determines where the course can be sold.

    All Platforms

    Select All Platforms (Web, Android, iOS) to make the course available across all supported platforms.

    Mobile Apps

    You can choose to sell the course only through mobile apps.

    The following options are available:

    • Android App: Allows the course to be sold through the Android app. This option is available only if your school has an Android App add-on.
    • iOS App: Allows the course to be sold through the iOS app. This option is available only if your school has an iOS App add-on.

     

    Note: Mobile app options can be selected only when All Platforms is not selected.

    Offline Access

    The Offline Access setting allows learners to access course content offline through the mobile apps.

    To enable offline access, the following requirements must be met:

    • Your school should have an Android app subscription.
    • The course should be encrypted.
    • The product selling type should be Paid.
    In-App Sync

    Enable In-App Sync to allow learners to access course content offline within the app.

    Disabling In-App Sync under the specific course's permission settings will remove the Download button for that course.

     

    After configuring the required permissions, click Save to apply the changes.
