Apply and Obtain a D-U-N-S Number for a Developer Account

To publish an app under your organization’s name, Apple requires a D-U-N-S Number. This unique business identifier is used to verify your company’s identity during the Apple Developer Program enrollment process.

What is a D-U-N-S Number?

A D-U-N-S Number is a unique 9-digit identifier for businesses. It is issued by Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) and is required by Apple to verify your organization's identity before allowing app submission under an organization name.

1. How to Apply for a D-U-N-S Number

  • To register the DUNS number, visit the following URL: https://www.dnb.co.in/duns/get-a-duns
  • On this page, fill out the essential information.

  • Then choose the Google developer and mention why you need the DUNS number.

  • Then read, tick the box, and click the Submit button.

  • It usually takes one or two business days to generate this Duns Number.
  • When your DUNS number is generated, you will get an email. 

No need to provide Apple Tracking Number.

2. Check Your Company's D-U-N-S Number

  • To obtain the Duns number, navigate to the following URL: https://www.dnb.com/de-de/upik-en.html
  • Enter your company name and country.
