How to Configure a DNS Server on Your Device
Configuring a custom DNS server can help resolve website or app access issues and improve connectivity in certain network conditions. This guide explains how to update DNS settings on commonly used devices. Google Public DNS: Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8 Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4
Configure DNS on Windows (Windows 10 / 11)

Steps:

Open Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center

Click Change adapter settings

Right-click your active network → Properties
-
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) → Properties

Choose Use the following DNS server addresses

Enter:

Preferred DNS:
8.8.8.8 -
Alternate DNS:
8.8.4.4

Click OK and close all windows
-
Restart your browser/app
Configure DNS on macOS

Open System Settings → Network

Select your active network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)

Click Details → DNS

Click + and add:

8.8.4.4

Click OK → Apply

Restart the browser/app

Private DNS (Recommended)

Tap Private DNS

Select Private DNS provider hostname

Enter:

Save changes
Configure DNS on iPhone / iPad (iOS)

Tap the ⓘ icon next to your connected network

Tap Configure DNS

Select Manual

Remove existing DNS entries

Add:

Save settings
After Configuration

Close and reopen the browser or app

If required, restart the device

Changes usually apply immediately
