Overview of Ebooks

eBooks enables the creation and sale of digital PDF books for educators, schools, and authors, facilitating the distribution of educational materials online.

An eBook in Learnyst is a digital product that allows educators, schools, and authors to create and sell PDF-based learning content. It is ideal for sharing notes, study materials, guides, and structured written content with learners.

In Learnyst, eBooks are designed specifically for PDF content, ensuring a simple and focused reading experience for learners.

How eBooks Are Structured

An eBook is made up of:

  • Sections (Chapters) – Broad topics or divisions
  • PDF Lessons – Individual files uploaded as part of each section

You can organize multiple PDF files into sections to create a well-structured and easy-to-navigate eBook.

Content Type Supported

In Learnyst eBooks:

  • Only PDF files can be added as lessons
  • Each lesson represents a PDF document
  • Multiple PDFs can be grouped into sections or chapters

This ensures consistency and a smooth reading experience for learners.

Creating an eBook:

  • Go to the Products > More products > Ebooks
  • Click the "Create" button 
  • Enter the course title and price 
  • Then select the Content Security option.
  • Click the Create button. 
  • Click the Add Section button and enter the section title
  • Click the save button.

Add a PDF lesson: 

  • Click the Add Lesson button. 
  • Now, enter the lesson title, select PDF lesson type, and click the Continue button.
  • Upload a PDF file from your computer or a Cloud storage provider, such as Dropbox or Drive.
  • You can attach files to the lesson to engage your learners. 
  • Click the Preview option to examine your lessons. 
  • Finally, lessons and attachments are available to your students.

Publish the eBook: 

  • Go to the Settings page
  • Select the Publish Ebook option. 
  • Now, select the Live option and click the Save button.
  • Your course is now visible to your learners, along with a price plan.
