Set Randomization Rules for Your Quiz

Randomization rules allow you to define how many questions learners need to answer in a quiz or test. For instance, if you’ve created 5 essay questions in a section but only want learners to answer 3, you can easily set this up.

  • To set up the rules,  navigate to your desired product and section quiz.

  • Next, select the specific section of the quiz to apply the rule.

  • Now you will land on this page. Now, click on the Add Rule button in the selected section.

  • Choose the type of question for which you want to set the rule. For example:

    • If there are 6 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) — 4 one-mark MCQs and 2 two-mark MCQs — you can set the rule so that answering 3 one-mark MCQs is sufficient. Simply select MCQ and input 3 as the required number of questions.

  • Once you have entered, click the Add button.

  • Now the rules have been added for that quiz's section.
